My partner and I had attempted to rent here, and were told that the application fee would be waived due to our displacement from Hurricane Helene. We were thankfully rejected, however, since trying to get the refund for the application, the leasing office has untruthfully told my partner several times they had sent a check, when no check had been sent. The office had dodged her emails, and didn’t reply, so we disputed the charge. Conveniently after placing the dispute, we were advised a check had been sent to the old flooded address (it had not, we still have access to UPS tools to see incoming mail) and were sending it to the correct address, geniuses by the way. A couple days later, the same leasing office reached out and advised they placed a stop payment on the check we never received (as they likely didn’t send it) due to the dispute. I’m tired of this place, they act like trash and I’m so thankful I didn’t end up here. I want my promised refund back though. We have all the documentation to show, screenshots of everything and the non communication. My partner will be leaving a far more comprehensive review with the photos, and sending another email with all the necessary information. Enjoy Townplace, give me my money back.

The maintenance team is exceptional. Any request I make is always addressed the same day, and if immediate resolution isn't possible, they ensure I'm informed with a clear timeline for when the issue will be resolved

Welcome to Townplace where you get the “Landlord Special”. Very dingy outdated apartments for a steep price. From the moment we moved in we had water leaks in the ceiling which caused mold, leaks in the kitchen flooring, and leaks behind the bathroom walls which caused mold as well, didn’t have a working dryer for 4 months and when I brought up it was a hazard blowing hot air into the walls with a blockage, the front desk didn’t seem to care. I absolutely loved the maintenance staff, I understand they get busy and all, but the front staff seemed to have an attitude and didn’t know how to tend to serious issues. When we moved out we left the apartment in pristine condition, cleaner then when we moved in, but they tried to charge us for carpet replacement claiming urine stains. As they stated in response “the suggestion to test for urine stains in the carpet pad seems unwarranted and unjust” . But yet they are trying to make false charges. I pointed out the carpet was not in new condition when I moved in and they stated it was, I had photo proof that there were clear as day black stains on the front and dining room in some spots, but was told it was part of the brown mutual tones carpet design. It was clearly not and any person in their right mind could tell. They refused to do a move out inspection which IS in the lease and they said it wasn’t. And refused to give us a call with someone who can help, they keep mentioning third party after third party and it’s just a circle of blaming who to talk to about the charges. They said we “exaggerated” the situation which is very untrue, I don’t mind paying for actual damages I cause, but I didn’t and we didn’t have animals that urinated. I also from time to time smelled smoke coming from our vents. It’s sad cause I figured we could handle things but the front office was so rude from the start when we asked to speak to someone who could help. The only good thing about these apartments were the pool and kids park, and maintenance. PLEASE get a walk through move out inspection done, and make sure you take note of everything, they will try to take your money!

The maintenance staff is excellent, 10/10 always happy to help and knowledgeable about what they do.
However living there was less than ideal. I lived in one apt and had a friend in another. Both Apts had a musty moldy smell that doesn't go away. When mentioned, the only solution was putting this lemon chemically smell in our ac which just gave me a headache. I dont consider this maintenance's fault necessarily as they probably had limited options to address this with us in the unit. The toilets are outdated and use up an absurd amount of water. AC is loud. Generally the entire apartment was super out dated. There was wall to wall carpeting which never felt clean.
Upon moving in, i took pictures and wrote down everything that was wrong with the apartment. I took additional videos when leaving. They tried to take our whole safety deposit for things written on the list we had given them upon moving in which was super shifty of them. They did end up adjusting when we pointed it out but the fact that they tried that was so disappointing. They are also raising the prices and I already felt I was paying too much for what I got.
The gym was flooded for a solid few months and the wifi in there stopped working midway through the year and just never got fixed. AC controls were locked in a box and never set lowenough to combat the humidity so it was unpleasant to be in there.

Just wanting to put this out there the maintenance team Armando and Anthony have been great! Recently had some blinds that broke they replaced them and was able to inspect our smoke detectors and air filters to see if those needed to be replaced as well. They are always friendly and thorough.

Just moved into townplace apartments. I am so pleased so far with my experience. Troy in the front office has been such a big help and anything i needed was promptly taken care of.

After Hurricane Milton, the Maintenance Supervisor of Town Place Apartments, Mr. Armando Dieguez, took charge of the situation and kindly attended to each of those affected, providing a timely solution. Thank you Mr. Dieguez.

Townplace Apartments is a quiet, peaceful community. It feels very safe and is nicely tucked away in such a convenient area. The townhome-style units and nice landscaping give you more of a homey feel than if you were renting from a huge, one building complex.

The leasing office and maintenance are very responsive, so if you have any issues you won’t need to wait very long for them to be resolved. I had a very good experience when I was initially looking to lease here. Thank you Amanda, Bre, and Troy!

As a side note, it would be awesome if they turned that empty building just across from the gym into a business center/lounge! I think it would add a lot of value for tenants.
